'Wonder Woman' surpasses 500 million at the world box office and continues to sweep the US

The superheroine from DC is in luck. Last weekend 'Wonder Woman' managed to sneak among the best second weekends of superhero movies, dropping only 44% at the American box office, when it is usually between 50-60%. Now, three weeks after its release, it is about to position itself as one of the top five third weekend in the history of superheroes.

The film directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot managed to knead a little more than 100 million dollars in its first weekend in the United States, in the second 58 and now in the third is expected to approach the figure of the 40 million dollars with a drop of only 32% compared to the previous weekend. This means that the film has been able to keep the interest better than its studio companions over the weeks, something very important for a blockbuster since after the first weekend the fall (usually) is in choppy. In addition, reaching 40 million would mean that it would become the fourth superhero movie to have grossed the third weekend, only behind 'The Avengers', 'Spider-Man' and 'The Dark Knight'.

Both 'The Avengers' and 'The Dark Knight' managed to withdraw from theaters around the world with a collection of more than $ 1 billion and 'Wonder Woman' is expected to be between $ 800 and $ 1,000 million at last Is released in other countries and withdraws from theaters in a few months. At the moment, the Amazon princess has already surpassed the 517 million collection worldwide. Its director, very active in social networks, has already thanked:

"Thank you ALL for your continued support, it's really incredible, you're petting it!" I'm glad for us, but also for the message you send. "

'Wonder Woman' comes to our cinemas on Friday, June 23 loaded with good reviews in both Rotten Tomatoes (with 92% approval by critics, which ranks among the best that have been released this year), as In Metacritic, which has an average of 76 out of 100.

The third weekends of DC

The 'Wonder Woman' data has nothing to do with what your fellow students got. 'Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice' managed to raise in its third weekend just 23 million dollars with a fall of 54% compared to the second, 'Suicidal Squad' and 'The Man of Steel' stayed with something else Of 20 million. While these last three achieved better numbers in its opening weekend, they did not manage to maintain the interest in the public as it is obtaining Jenkins superheroine.
