David Benioff , producer of Game of Thrones , already assured us that in the seventh season of the series, we would see scenes loaded with fire. Specifically, Benioff said that in one of the battles would beat the record of specialists involved in scenes of this type with the largest number of people engulfed in flames at the same time. The words of the producer can be shocking but also exaggerated and therefore, what better way to know a little better this aspect of the series than with a new featurette which shows the hidden side of pyrotechnics scenes of the new season.
In the video ‘Inside Game of Thrones: A Story in Special Effects’, we can see firsthand how to perform some of the most complicated scenes in the series explained by special effects supervisor Sam Conway . But in addition to showing how the effects department controls explosions, fires, wind, snow or rain, these types of videos are always a good opportunity to find clues about the plot of the series.
Thus, we can see some images behind the cameras of Daenerys rising in one of its dragons and also to Theon Greyjoy in the middle of a naval battle in flames, which could mean bad news for the Mother of Dragons. The seventh season will premiere next July 17 and we will have to wait until then to see how these battles unfold. Will we see the arrival of Danenerys to King’s Landing in the first chapter or will we have to wait longer to see the ships burn?
