After Annabelle and the ghost of the nun, it is the turn of another monster seen in “Conjuring 2” to be entitled to his own film.
The horrifying franchise Conjuring is doing well: a third spin-off inspired by the adventures of Warren’s spouses is on track. It will be devoted to The Crooked Man (literally “the twisted man”), a monster with a lanky silhouette seen in Conjuring 2.
Originally, it is a character from a popular British nursery rhyme then recovered by popular culture. The lyrics of this song are also recited in a season 3 episode of Fargo.
James Wan, director of both Conjuring, is committed to production. If no director has been chosen, the screenplay is entrusted to Mike Van Waes, whose name was circulated a few months ago for a horrifying adaptation of the Wizard of Oz.
The two parts of Conjuring are devoted to Lorrain and Ed Warren, world-renowned paranormal investigators. A first spin-off devoted to the Annabelle doll came out in 2014 and brought in more than $ 200 million in revenue worldwide for a budget of less than $ 7 million. His sequel will be shown in cinemas on August 9th. As for the terrifying nun seen in episode 2, she will also be entitled to her film currently in pre-production.
